Jeju Oriental Hotel offers a concessionary rate for our conference participants (100,000 KRW (about $93) for one person/room per night, 120,000 KRW (about $110) for two persons/room per night, BREAKFAST INCLUDED). The hotel is located near Jeju National University and Jeju International Airport.
2 nights of stay in the hotel will be covered by the Association of Korean Economic Studies (AKES) for one presenter per paper
However, each participant should book the hotel by herself. When you check out, 2 nights of stay will not be charged to you.

This is the seventeenth in the series of conferences on "Korea and the World Economy," alternating biannually venues inside and outside Korea. This year, the
conference will be held in Seoul, the heart of Korea. Previous conferences were held in:
Economists, policy-makers, and practitioners are invited to submit papers on Korea, Asia-Pacific, and the world economy. Both theoretical
and empirical papers are welcome. Papers in the following areas
are especially sought:
Monetary and Financial Policy
Financial Flow and Cooperation
Korea-Vietnam Economic Cooperation
East Asian Economic Cooperation
Energy and Climate Change
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
Poverty, Economic Divide, Social Welfare and Income Redistribution
North Korean Economy
Sustainable Human Development.
Submission: If interested, please send a draft of your paper or an extended
abstract (500+ words long) in English, together with your name,
affiliation, academic position, mail and e-mail addresses, and
phone and fax numbers, by March 31, 2018 to the Program Committee (Email: email@example.com):
Papers will be selected through a competitive peer review. Notification
of acceptance will be sent out around April 15, 2018.
The final version of all papers for presentation will be due by
May 20, 2018.
Registration fee: There will be no registration fee.
