Aims and Scope
กใ
The Journal of the Korean Economy is the offical publication of the Association of Korean Economic Studies, published three times a year. The journal will be renamed as "Korea and the World Economy" from August issues of this year (2010).
กใ
The Journal of the Korean Economy aims to provide an international fourm for the dissemination of policy-related research and debate on the Korean economy. Although the primary focus will be on the Korean economy, East Asian and global issues with a direct impact on the Korean economy will also be explored.
กใ
Articles will meet the most rigorous standards but the Journal will aim to be accessible to academic and non-academic readers alike.
กใ
Preference will be given to articles which are policy-oriented. Articles reporting on research findings should be relatively free from technical material and discipline-specific jargon. Mathematical equations should be minimized.
กใ
Analytical book reviews will also be considered for publication.
กใ
To encourage excellency in research on the Korean economy, the Association of the Korean Economic Studies will annually award the US$ 1,000 Prize to the author(s) of the best paper carried in The Journal of the Korean Economy during the proceeding year.
กใ
The Journal of the Korean Economy is a peer-refereed journal and is indexed in the Journal of Economic Literature.
